The VECTOBOL platform is built upon a collective effort involving scientific research, field activities, biological expertise, data management, and the development of digital tools.

We thank all individuals and institutions contributing to the ongoing development, operation, and enrichment of this platform dedicated to medically and veterinary important vectors in Bolivia.

Institutional support and digital infrastructure

VECTOBOL acknowledges the support of the MIVEGEC Joint Research Unit (IRD) for its contribution to the platform’s digital infrastructure, including the support for web hosting required for its operation and accessibility to the scientific community.

Support for field activities

We thank the IRD team in Bolivia for its logistical support in the organization of field activities. This collaboration facilitates entomological surveys, sampling missions, and vector surveillance activities across different regions of the country.

Contribution of local communities

We sincerely thank residents, property owners, and local site managers who welcome field activities and provide access to environments essential for vector studies.

Their availability, hospitality, and occasional assistance directly contribute to the acquisition of new observations and to improving knowledge on the distribution, biology, and ecology of medically and veterinary important arthropods in Bolivia.

Scientific and technical contributions

We also thank all individuals contributing to the different components of VECTOBOL, including specimen collection and identification, taxonomic expertise, data validation and management, software development, and improvement of scientific content.

A collectively built platform

VECTOBOL continues to evolve through the contributions of researchers, students, technicians, health professionals, and observers involved in the production and sharing of knowledge on vectors occurring in Bolivia.

We thank all current and future contributors who enable this platform to continue growing.
